Put simply ‘porting’ is the transfer of your existing phone number to PreciousIT. We cantake overany 01 and 02 ‘geographic’ phone numbers and activate themonour VoIP platform. In addition,we can also portany 07mobilenumbersto our mobile service.
Once the portrequest hasbeen placed and accepted (for geographic numbers thesecan take from 2 weeks toseveral months) by the losing communications provider (LCP), these number will be allocated to your account onour platformwhich will then be ready to use immediately.
Initially this is not a major issue, as we have a full process in place to help you move over to our platform while keeping your number.
Before you read further as this may get confusing, do not worry we will help you throughout the entire process.
There are mainly two types of porting, single line and multi-line.Single line porting typically caters for an individual line that terminates onto a socket where one number is provided. i.e. PSTN (Home phone Line).Multi Lines porting caters for a range of numbers for example 01234 500000 –01234 500010 this has a range of 10 numbers. Other number that would be considered a multi-line:

| Feature | Site | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| Account Codes | Tick | Included |
| Authorization Codes | Tick | Included |

This can be for many reasonshere are some of them:
- Wrong owner
- Wrong address
- Wrong LCP
- Provider making life hard by not letting go
When the application for the port has been authorised,we would begiven a specific date and sometime a time. During this time,it is possible for the number to go offline for up to 24 hours but in most cases, it come back within 2 hours.
